San Diego Preview
Mississippi State is hoping to close out 2009 with nine straight wins and go undefeated in the month of December.
However, standing in their way is one final obstacle in the form of San Diego. The two teams square off at 6 p.m. tonight at the Jenny Craig Pavilion on the Toreros campus.
San Diego got the better of the Bulldogs in their first ever meeting 64-61 in overtime last year in Starkville. MSU has posted a 5-2 record all-time against teams from the West Coast Conference.
The Bulldogs are 11-2 overall this season shooting 46.3-percent from the field and averaging 76.4 points per game. State has shot 41.8-percent from the outside and 69.5-percent from the free throw line. They have also outrebounded their opponents by 8.8 and surrender just 58.1 points an outing.
