Could Oklahoma Keep It All in the Family?
Since his emergence at the TCU NIKE camp Mansfield (Texas) Legacy cornerback Tevin Mitchel has gone from three offers to nearly a dozen. Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, and Texas A&M are among his numerous early offers but the 6-foot, 175-pound pass-defender recently picked up an interesting scholarship from Oklahoma.
Of course the reasoning for Mitchel's offer from the Sooners being so notable is that he is the son of former Barry Switzer era option quarterback Eric Mitchel. The Sooner legacy had not been hearing much from the Sooners but since his performance in Fort Worth, Oklahoma has become more serious about Mitchel.
"Prior to the camp it was mostly mail," Mitchel said. "They just started mailing me more seriously here lately. I had already been up there for a practice this spring and I liked what I saw."
