Ducks add Etiwanda OL
The Oregon Ducks are coming close to filling up their 2011 offensive line recruiting class after Wednesday. Etiwanda (Calif.) star Jamal Prater gave offensive line coach Steve Greatwood some good news on his unofficial visit to Eugene.
When Duck Sports Authority interviewed Prater last month, he intended to take some time after his visit to make his decision. After his visit to the Oregon campus, DSA spoke with him again.
"I came to Eugene with an open mind because I had heard that the facilities were nice and I didn't want to let that be the only thing that impressed me," Prater said.
His overall impressions were positive.
"It was a pretty good trip and Chip Kelly and Coach Greatwood have a lot of tools to offer to make you a success."
Despite his determination not to let the facilities sway him, they nonetheless had an impression.
"My favorite part of the trip was touring the facilities and the new academic center," replied Prater.
Waiting until he got home from his trip did not turn out to be part of the game plan.
