Carew details Oregon commitment
The Oregon Ducks added a piece to their Class of 2014 recruiting puzzle last weekend with a verbal commitment during their annual kicking camp in Eugene.
La Verne (Calif.) Damien standout Tanner Carew became the sixth athlete verbally committed to Oregon's class after receiving an offer following the camp workout sessions. Despite being ranked as the No. 1 long-snapper in the nation, he was not sure whether he would be offered by Oregon while in Eugene.
Duck Sports Authority caught up with him to get some details.
"I went into the Oregon camp with high expectations but I can't control everything," Carew said. "Obviously I did the best I could because I came out of it with an offer from Oregon and I committed."
