UCLA is picking up some steam after a rough start to June, and appears to be on its way to snagging some big commitments in July. On the hardwood, the Bruins are just two weeks away from kicking off the live evaluation period. So take a look at some of the inside information we've gathered from the two sports in this week's Bruin Bite.


Details of what is inside:

  • Since early June, UCLA has had as many decommitments as it's had commitments, but that could all change in a few days when Christian Morris makes his collegiate announcement.

  • A key UCLA pledge is visiting a rival Pac-12 school this weekend, and there is some concern floating around Westwood about the trip.

  • A few 2014 national football prospects have expressed interest in visiting UCLA in the next few months, and so have a few national basketball prospects as well.
