Never said that he cleaned Lane or Carroll's clock. What I said is he competed and won on some players that previously would have never thought about UCLA. I have been in this business a very long time and even in the 90's when things looked bleak for SC, no one ever cleaned their clock.

UCLA has become more competitive with USC now they have to develop their players.

Congrats on the victory and the direction that USC is going.
