Most of us don't have an opinion. Medium NFL coach, little college experience. Knows his X's and O's. Seems like a Pete Carrol hire without the personality. Could be a winner, odds are not.

Heard him on the radio yesterday. He sounds like he knows what he's doing. Gotta recruit. Probably needs to spread the field -- but wouldn't commit to that sort of offense. He will do well.

Whether he will be able to put together a team that will compete for the Pac 12 championship is still questionable. I've never really considered the bruins to be challenged, facility-wise, or in any other way. But apparently the word now is that - since the stadium is the Rose Bowl -- and so far away from campus, that the administration is not truly committed to football. What ? Are they supposed to begin construction of a stadium on campus ? Could Drake ever be made into a football stadium? No? If that's a true measure of commitment, then I don't see how the bruins will be able to prosper in the coming years. I'm just saying...

Fight On !!!

At least he doesn’t have a history of destroying schools football programs, so that’s an upgrade.
I think he will do fine, he’s bringing in some help on recruiting that’s half the battle. The Bruins should have a Pac-12 contending team every year, that would be better for both schools, the city and the Pac south. I know he has had his problems at the pro level but he might just be a fine college coach.

I was at Occidental College in the 1960's and knew his dad Jim Sr. I have a strong feeling that at the very least Jr. is going to be more successful than RN. Perhaps he will restore the strong USC/UCLA rivalry in football that had been present in the past.

Don't care because it really doesn't matter.

If you don't care and it doesn't matter why would you post?
