The new publisher is a guy named Edward Lewis. He was formerly the publisher of the STDSU site and is looking to bring some technological upgrades to the site. My initial feeling is that he's going to do a good job.

I think he is doing a great job, the only thing I kinda feel is wrong is he even a BRUiN fan or is this just a job . My family is all UCLA baseball football basketball track . We use to go to track meets all the time any thing BRUIN!!

I don't know Alaniz, but I hunk everybody who grows up in SoCal, unless they're a sucster, is a bit of a fan to some extent. If I had a complaint, it would be his youth......But that's not his fault. There is just something I appreciate about having a salty veteran at the helm, but again that's just me.

I just enjoy coming here and reading all the great info that Rick gave us with bruin passion . I hope to see that in the new guy. With that said I feel you are bruin or your not there is no room for half fans on my team I've been through low times and heart breaks. I ready to see some good times coming soon in booth major sports. Thanks AJ for your wise input.

Rick may be gone but he's not forgotten nor has he stopped passing along breaking info. If you belong to facebook friend him, he is giving recruiting updates all the time you won't find anywhere else. Rick is and always will be the best. Grammar errors? Yes. Not technology saavy? Yes. The best sources? Yes. The highest integrity? Yes. I think the good far outweighted the weaknesses.

Well stated, teammates! I do miss Rooster! Can you imagine what he would be posting regarding this outstanding basketball recruting class? Would have given much props to these kids and parents as well? How they fit the UCLA mold of the past. He probably is doing a Holy Ghost "BRUIN" dance at this time. Would have asked Savon what is taking him so long to fax his letter of intent to make this class even greater. No dis-respect intended for Edward. Looking forward to the Wooden Classic this year to see what our "BRUINS" can get accomplished!! Peace!

So far I give Edward an A- only because I'm want a little more coverage on some of the less published UCLA like the College World Series, Track and Field, Water Polo, etc. His coverage of both Men's Basketball and Football is off the chart. And now that he's hired another reporter we're going to get even more coverage. I love Rick Kimbrel but Edward has kicked it up several notches...more interviews, more feature stories, more recruiting information.
