Sunday with Neuheisel

As what has become customary, UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel has a Sunday teleconference with the beat media to go over the game the day before. Though once again the Bruins failed to get victory number four, there were some things that were positive. One of them was the play of the offense in the second half.

What did you see in the fourth quarter that says to you this was a little more of a coming of age rather than a frenetic finish?

Neuheisel: "I just saw a quarterback (Kevin Prince), kind of sitting in the pocket and making throws down the field and being composed despite the circumstances and still being able to throw accurately down the field. I thought that was all very positive.

"Whether that was deserved or not, the confidence will grow from that. I mean it just will and all of a sudden you'll go into the game much more ready to play like that again. You just have to experience it to understand it and to understand what that feels like from a standpoint of, I can do this and so I was happy for Kevin that he got to do that.

"Now it is unfortunate that it didn't end up in a victory, but that's the next step and now we have to figure out ways to win the game."
