Jefferson: 'For Me it Was Instincts'
The last time Oklahoma landed a big physical safety from the California high school ranks he went on to become one of the school's all-time great players. When Chula Vista (Calif.) Eastlake four-star safety Tony Jefferson he was more than aware of the presence of former Sooner great, and current Cincinnati Bengal, Roy Williams.
That being said the 6-foot, 196-pound prospect has plans of making his own name an important one while in Norman.
"It's good to know that people are making that kind of comparison. Roy Williams is a great athlete and the fact that it did happen is great but I'm trying to make a name for myself. When another kid comes in after me hopefully he'll say the same thing. You've got to go out and be your own player."
