Looking at spring - Offense
The two biggest questions marks that have dogged UCLA offensively since 2005 when they averaged over 40 points a game has been consistent play at quarterback and the offensive line. Kevin Prince will enter his second spring and UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel has already named him the starter, but Richard Brehaut and Nick Crissman will get ample reps.
Just having a named starter already could help consistency at the position. Competition could bring out the best in all three. That's what is hoped for in theory.
Walk-ons, Clayton Tunney and Ted Landers will also be getting reps at the quarterback spot. All of the quarterbacks should benefit by the return of offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, Norm Chow.
The other piece of the never ending puzzle is consistency along the offensive line. Helping bring consistency to the offensive front like Chow, is the fact that offensive line coach Bob Palcic is back for his third spring.
