While Saturday's Palo Alto NIKE Camp hosted more than 500 recruits, two of the day's top performers came from one school.
DaJohn Harris and Apaiata Tuihalamaka of Gardena, Calif., Serra High School came into the camp as high prized recruits, but both still had something to prove.
For Harris, it was all about respect.
"I felt that I needed to prove myself as a d-lineman at this camp," said Harris. "In previous camps I'd been playing tight end because I wanted people to see what I can do on both sides of the ball.
"Maybe that was the reason why I wasn't getting the respect I deserved. I don't know what the coaches expected out of me, but I felt like I did well today."
Whether it was the field, or the players on it, Saturday's camp proved to be one of the slowest of the tour. With the day's fastest 40-yard dash time being 4.49, Harris' 5.1 sprint caught the attention of everyone in attendance.
