Junior defensive back visits Clemson Monday

Two weeks ago Tigerillustrated.com told its subscribers (in this article) top rated junior cornerback Charles Whitlock would be in Clemson on an unofficial visit.

The 5-foot-11, 172-pounder did indeed make that visit Monday, a trip that began in the early morning hours, ending after 12:30pm.

"Me and my coach (Victor Floyd) probably got in around 10:15. This has been planned for a while," Whitlock told Tigerillustrated.com in an afternoon interview.

The talented athlete has been on Clemson's radar for some time. Last month he accompanied members of his team to the Tigers' 7-on-7 passing camp, so his visit to the campus on Monday was his second unofficial visit to Clemson of the year.

"We looked over the whole campus, and coach (Billy) Napier took us through the weight room and locker room area," Whitlock said. "They're nice, but the ones they're building in the West Zone building are going to be even better, top of the line."
