Kendrick's the next star out of SACA
In 2004 Dwight Howard was the man at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy and he directly to the NBA. In 2006, Javaris Crittenton was the top recruit and he played for Georgia Tech for one season. Now, both are playing in the NBA, with Howard starring in Olando and Crittenton hooping it up in Memphis.
The talent is back again at SACA and all eyes are on Jalen Kendrick. He is only a sophomore, but he has every intention of being the next star for the Warriors.
Kendrick is a 6-foot-6 wing prospect who describes himself as "just a player who wants to win."
LSU, Xavier and St. Josephs have been out to see him recently, with an offer coming from Xavier. Auburn, UCLA and Southern Cal are on him as well.
Two on-state schools are in the game early too.
"UGA and Georgia Tech are hard on my tail right now, and they are being considered," Kendrick said. "Location does not matter right now, I am just looking for the best situation for me."
One good thing about being just a sophomore is that you still have time to improve your abilities and work on your flaws. Kendrick understands that even though he is a big prospect, he still has room for improvement.
