Star 2010 WR building list

One of the top wide receiver prospects in the nation for the class of 2010 is Ted Meline out of Booker T. Washington high school in Miami. Meline has been gathering offers from across the country following his junior season and has a few favorites in mind.

Duck Sports Authority caught up with the 6'2" speedster to get an update on his recruitment. With seven written offers in hand, Meline does have some favorites starting to emerge.

"Oregon, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Auburn and FSU are the schools I'm most interested in," Meline reported. "I'm thinking about Texas Tech too."

While the two Florida schools on his list have yet to offer, the others have. Aside from his surprising speed, one part of his game is overlooked.

"I'm more aggressive than the corners," said Meline. "I don't let them put their hands on me on the line. Most corners think I won't be physical because I don't have the body weight compared to my height. They are wrong."

Meline has garnered this substantial early attention despite an injury-plagued junior campaign.

"Last year I two injuries," Meline explained, "a sprained ankle and then I dislocated my AC joint and I was out for most the season."

Asked if the ankle was still bothering him, he was emphatic.

"My ankle is 100% perfect. It's completely healed. I don't think about it."

The only west coast school to enter the mix so far in Meline's recruitment is Oregon. Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly is Oregon's primary recruiter for the Dade County standout, and the Oregon offense is part of what has them in the mix.

"I like the spread they run, and I love all the uniforms they have," said Meline.

Meline has three official visits in mind, with two more still to be determined.

"One of my visits will be to Oregon. I'll visit Georgia and Texas Tech too. That's all for now but I'm going to probably take all my visits," Meline stated.
