Nance excited about upcoming visit

Calhoun, Ga., quarterback Nash Nance built a bond with Dan Mullen while he was still offensive coordinator at Florida.

Naturally when Mullen took over as head coach at Mississippi State, Nance became a top priority at quarterback for the 2010 class.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder has planned to take an unofficial visit to the Starkville during his spring break the week of April 6th to check things out.

"I just want to see how the coaches are," Nance said. "I'd like to get to know them and their offense. I'd like to get to know the school in general and what kind of coaching staff they have. I'm sure it will be great because Coach Mullen is there. I'm just looking forward to it."

MSU was the second school to offer Nance following Harvard. Since that time several other schools have joined the mix for his signature including Vanderbilt, Central Florida and Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Nance was reluctant to call the Bulldogs his overall favorite but stated that "State is one of my top two."

Accompanying Nance on his spring break trek will be his high school teammate and best friend Da'Rick Rogers. Rogers has also been offered by State and both players have considered attending the same college.
