That was before the 6-foot-7, 248-pound prospect made his way to Norman with his dad to get a look at the Sooners campus and exactly what the Oklahoma program was all about.

It seems that all those things added up pretty well for the Voglers because the Sooners are now in Vogler's final two.

"It's down to Alabama and Oklahoma," Vogler said. "After I got back from Oklahoma I just felt there was only two real schools that I just really liked and felt the most comfortable about going to either one of them.

"I'd really feel comfortable at either school."

During his trip to Oklahoma Vogler says he spent most of his time with tight ends coach/offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and while he came in not knowing much about the Sooners the Sooner assistant did a good job familiarizing the Voglers with the campus and the school's tradition.

"It was a lot of fun, I was just learning so much stuff on the entire visit there," he explained. "I pretty much learned everything from going there. I got to meet all the coaches and see all the facilities.

"With camp going on I just got to watch the coaches and how they interact with the players in practice like situations."
