Bruin bits

UCLA concluded their camp on Tuesday and one of the most impressive things witnessed was at the end of the camp, Bruin head coach Rick Neuheisel went around at the end of the camp and thanked the parents who were in attendance. It was obvious that the parents were pleased by the gesture.

Most of the players who were at the camp will never play for UCLA, but that Neuheisel took the time and met with the parents was appreciated by those who received the greeting and Neuheisel's gratitude. It was this simple touch that lends as a window as why Neuheisel is such a good recruiter.

It was pretty apparent that Brett Nottingham was going to get an offer after yesterday's workout in front of Norm Chow. He was pretty poised and listened intently.

Last night the Bruins threw for the first time in a while and Johnathan Franklin showcased why his nickname is "Jet Ski". Franklin took a dump off pass from and went untouched for a 45 yards touchdown.
