Rivals Future 150 Camp, Vol. 2
Shane Larkin.BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The inaugural Rivals Future 150 Camp was host to a number of quality prospects. Here is a look at more of those prospects, including four-star point guard
Shane Larkin 6-foot, 170-pound point guard (2011-Showtime Ballers)- With a knack for changing pace, Larkin excels at breaking down defenders and finishing in the midrange. He presently holds offers from VCU and Central Florida and is receiving interest from Miami, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Florida and Florida State amongst others.
Eugene Johnson 6-foot-7, 185-pound power forward (2011- Birmingham Storm)- Johnson was a force defensively in the low post, blocking shots and rebounding with authority. He also impressed with his pin point outlet passing. His length and athleticism make him a versatile player both on the offensive and defensive end.
Donovan Ross 6-foot-5, 185-pound small forward (2011- Jackson Panthers)- Ross was one of the most competitive players in attendance. More of a slashing wing and post up threat, Ross also rebounded the basketball at a high level. He is receiving interest from LSU, Auburn, Oklahoma, Baylor, Ole Miss and Jackson State.
JaCory Williams 6-foot-6, 170-pound small forward (2012-Birmingham Storm)- A rangy player with a nice skill set, Williams has the upside to develop into a high major prospect with added strength and quickness.
Reggie Spencer 6-foot-6, 185-pound power forward (2011-Birmingham Storm)- Spencer has excellent footwork around the basket and the ability to finish through contact. He is hearing from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee amongst others.
Octavious Ellis 6-foot-8, 185-pound power forward (2011- Memphis Select)- Ellis utilizes his length to finish around the basket and also defend in the post. His high skill level makes him an even more attractive prospect who should blossom with added strength. He recently picked up a Mississippi State offer.
Reagan Watkins 6-foot-2, 175-pound point guard (2010-Alabama Lasers)- Extremely athletic, Watkins is an impressive mid-major sleeper prospect who can score in bunches from all three levels.
Andres Gentry 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard (2010-Birmingham Ice)- Gentry is a versatile player who excels at handling the basketball and scoring off the bounce. Coaches will find his overall feel for the game attractive in July.
Greg Johnson 6-foot-5, 210-pound power forward (2010)- A high level rebounder with strength and athleticism, Johnson plays much bigger than his size. He matches up well with taller players in the low post
Brooks McElveen 6-foot-3, 170-pound shooting guard (2011)- An excellent shooter from behind the three-point line, McElveen also has the ability to breakdown defenders and finish at the rim. He is also a quality defender.
