Free Preview: Berkeley WR looking good

While out checking out the UCLA four-day camp today (June 24) there was a wide receiver who was making some nice catches. BruinBlitz wasn’t the only one who noticed that this guy was clutch.
Our mystery guest quickly became the preferred target for the quarterback that was on his team during the drill. So much was he the preferred target that his quarterback became locked on him. For good reason this guy was able to get open and he delivered.

The player in question is wide receiver Sean Young (5-10, 170) from Berkeley, Calif. Young was clocked at the camp today with a 4.5 forty time. He ran a 4.4 at the Stanford Nike camp last May.
Young didn’t have his exact stats but he told BruinBlitz that he caught somewhere between 17 and 20 catches for about 450 to 500 yards and eight touchdowns. Young’s performance was good enough to be selected all-league.
Young is a versatile athlete who may play both ways his senior season. He may add cornerback to his list of responsibilities.
Young is keeping an open mind when comes to school choice, but he does have an offer from Cal. Washington, Washington State, Oregon as well as UCLA have also been showing interest in the youngster from Berkeley high.
When it comes to selecting favorite schools, Young is keeping an open mind. “The coaching staff will be very important,” Young said. “The area of where the school is and academics will also be important. Especially the schools academics that is the most important.”
Young is definitely one to watch, we will be hearing more from this athlete in the very near future.
