Free Preview: Bruins eye Texan

The Bruins are in the Lone Star State heavy this recruiting season. Why not, Texas is loaded with talent this season and the Bruins have a good track record with Texas talent.
The Bruins are showing interest in running back Brenton Bolden (6-0, 190, 4.45) from League City (Texas) Clear Lake.

Clear Lake has a couple of D-I prospects this season. Bolden is a teammate of Bruin recruit Bruce Davis.
Bolden was a 1st-team all-district performer after rushing for over 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Bolden is considered the complete back who can also catch and is a decent blocker. He’s a big back with great speed, balance and vision. Reads like a good recipe for a big time running back. Bolden is known for his moves, the word is he has more wiggle than Jell-O and is adept at making defenders miss.
Bolden is considered a versatile athlete who could also end up playing wide receiver, cornerback or safety on the next level.
There are offers on the table from Arizona and Missouri. UCLA, Texas, and Nebraska are also in the picture.
What is Bolden looking for in a college?
“I am looking for a school that has good facilities, educational opportunities and warm weather,” Bolden said. “I also want to play in warm weather.”
UCLA, LSU, Texas, Nebraska and Arizona are Bolden’s early top five.
What does Bolden like about his top five?
UCLA – “I like the style of offense that UCLA plays and I would love to live on the west coast. I wouldn’t mind living out there.”
LSU – “LSU is close to my home town. I’m originally from Louisiana and I like the LSU football program.”
Texas – “Texas is another school whose program I really like and it’s right around the corner from where I presently live.”
Nebraska – “The Cornhuskers run the option and that’s the offense my school runs. I’m really comfortable running out of the option and think I would be a good fit.”
Arizona – “I like Arizona because when I talked to the coach, he told me there is a chance for me to play early and that is always a positive.”
