Free Report: Kelly set to return to So Cal

UCLA was linebacker/running back Terrance Kelly’s (6-1, 215, 4.5) from Concord (Calif.) De La Salle childhood favorite team. Though the Bruins are aided by Kelly’s old high school teammate, UCLA freshman running back Maurice Drew, Kelly went home without committing to the Bruins. Kelly is back home for Christmas, but he won’t be staying home very long. He will back in the Los Angeles area this Saturday (Dec. 27) to participate in the Cal/Florida bowl game that will be played in January.
“My trip to UCLA went very good,” Kelly said. “I was able to hang out with Maurice (Drew) one night. It would have been more if he wasn’t sick.”

“I also hung out with Justin London and another old teammate of mine from De La Salle, Brian Callahan,” Kelly said. “I also spent some time with Marcedes Lewis. They are all good guys.”
“I liked UCLA as a child,” Kelly said. “But that won’t affect my decision.”
“I have been able to get to know the coaching staffs at both Oregon and Cal,” Kelly said. “I’m going to take my visit to Oregon on January 9th and then make my decision.”
There is also an outside possibility that Kelly may trip Washington if he isn’t quite sure on what school he wants to attend after his Oregon visit.
Kelly had an outstanding season rushing the ball. Though he didn’t take over the starting running back position until near mid-season, Kelly finished the season with 1,299 yards and 18 touchdowns.
As impressive as he was on offense, Kelly projects as a defensive player. He could end up playing either safety or linebacker on the next level.
Rivals.com ranks Kelly as the number 11 outside linebacker prospect in the nation. He also earned himself a spot on the Rivals.com California Top 100 for the class 2004 as the number 59 prospect from the Golden State.
