Free Report: Perez Confirmed Commitment

BruinBlitz has confirmed that Aaron Perez (6-4, 210, 4.7) from Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak has committed to UCLA. He will start his Bruin career as a punter. Maybe by his junior year he may kickoff for the Bruins. The Bruins get one of the strongest legs on the West Coast and he is getting even better under the watchful eye of former Bruin great place-kicker Chris Sailor.
“I chose UCLA because as far as I’m concerned UCLA is the best college as far as academics, football and location,” Perez said. “I expect to red shirt and then punt for the Bruins for four seasons.”

Perez met with head coach Karl Dorrell on Sunday and offered at that time. Perez accepted the offer on Monday.
Perez averages 41.2 yards per punt. He had a long of 64 yards while his career long punt is 80 yards. During Sailor’s camp in Las Vegas last January, he was averaging over 50 yards per punt.
Perez was selected all-state, all-CIF, all-area and all-league as a junior.
