For the second time this week, the UCLA football program wanted a piece of MACtion.

The Bruins picked up a commitment Friday from Bowling Green transfer safety Jordan Anderson, two days after UCLA received a pledge from former Ball State running back Carson Steele.

Anderson, who made four tackles when UCLA hosted Bowling Green in the season opener, made 34 starts over his four-year stint with the Falcons. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Anderson, a third-team All-MAC selection in 2021, has 180 tackles and five interceptions in his career. He had a career-high three interceptions in 2021.

The addition fills an area of need for UCLA, which lost starting safeties Stephan Blaylock and Mo Osling III along with fellow defensive back Azizi Hearn — all of whom exhausted their eligibility.

Anderson is the 10th transfer to commit to UCLA since the end of the regular season. The Bruins are currently hosting transfers on official visits through this weekend.
