Bruins land huge commit

The Bruins smarting after losing one outstanding commit came back strong with the committal of a very highly coveted player at a position of dire need. This is a huge get for UCLA.
The Bruins landed one of the best offensive line prospects on the west coast in the fast rising three-star prospect, Greg Capella (6-4, 326) from Visalia (Calif.) El Diamante.

"I went for a visit to UCLA this past weekend," Capella said. "I really liked the campus and the coaches so today (June 30th) I decided to commit to UCLA."
"UCLA really needs offensive linemen so there is a chance for me to play early," Capella said. "I really liked the environment at UCLA when I was there this weekend. I was able to see a lot of stuff."
"I will probably major in history."
The Bruins win the services of Capella over other offers from Arizona, UNLV and Fresno State.
In an earlier interview with Capella, he had the following to say about UCLA and what he was looking for in a college.
"UCLA has a great education, a good football program and again they have great coaches."
"Location will be a big one," Capella said. "The coaching staff will also be a big one and they run the program."
As a junior, Capella earned all-league, all-area and all-state underclassman. He was one of the reasons that El Diamante went 12-1 and won his section's championship. In the weight room, Capella currently benches 280 and squats 400.
The scouting report on Capella is he has very fast feet and plays with a nasty attitude that all the good offensive linemen have.
