Free Report: Sonny Tevaga talks to BruinBlitz.com

Offensive lineman Sonny Tevaga (6-6, 350, 5.7) from Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, brother of UCLA starting offensive guard Shannon Tevaga, committed to the Bruins on Tuesday the day he was offered a scholarship. Not much was known about Tevaga because he had to sit out his junior season because of CIF transfer rules. BruinBlitz.com was able to get a few moments of the newest Bruin's time.
"UCLA offered me on Tuesday and I gave them my commitment on that day," Tevaga said. "I just always wanted to play and go to school at UCLA."

"I grew up watching UCLA and I always rooted for them," Tevaga said. "I even wanted to go to UCLA before Shannon did."
According to Tevaga the Bruins recruited him tom play offensive tackle.
Tevaga played at La Mirada as a sophomore before his family moved to the Dominguez district. La Mirada is the same school that produced older brother Sharif and Shannon.
Sharif played juco ball and has since gone on a LDS mission. Sonny Tevaga told BruinBlitz.com that he will go on his mission after his five years at UCLA are over.
USC, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, BYU and Utah also showed Tevaga recruiting interest.
Tevaga is working very hard this spring and has already dropped a lot of weight and is now tipping the scale at 330. His goal is to play at 330 this fall.
Tevaga may camp at Arizona on June 10th and 11th. He's not sure if he will attend UCLA's camp in the latter part of June since he will be vacationing with his family in New Zealand visiting relatives.
USC, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, BYU and Utah also showed Tevaga recruiting interest.
