Three-star ATH Stephen Johnson III, who ran a 4.37 40-yard dash at The Opening Tuesday morning, announced his verbal commitment to UCLA Tuesday night.
"I'm going to be committing to UCLA," Johnson said on the ESPNU broadcast. "Fours up."
When the Bruins initially offered Johnson in May, Eric Yarber told him it was as a slot receiver. But Johnson can play corner as well, and he even plays quarterback for his San Leandro (Calif.) squad.
So when he arrives in Westwood next summer, he's very much open to moving around.
"(They want me) as a slot a receiver / DB," Johnson said. "I plan to play kick returner as well. So mainly an athlete. Depending on when I get down there, we'll see what happens."
Click Johnson picked UCLA over Oregon, Arizona State and nearly every other big West Coast program. And while he may still take other visits, for now, he's all UCLA.Here to view this Link.
