Oklahomas top player chooses UCLA

Josh Wariboko tried his hardest to put up a smokescreen. He told anyone who would listen that Ohio State was his leader two weeks ago. And then he took a last-weekend unofficial visit to Oklahoma.
Yet this entire time, the four-star offensive lineman knew he was going to Los Angeles.

"Once I visited (UCLA) initially in the summer, I saw the energy and the belief in what Jim Mora and his staff had going on down there," Wariboko said on the ESPNU broadcast of his commitment ceremony. "(They have) great academics. And I think it's the best thing for me and my family right now."
Pulling Wariboko out of Oklahoma was no easy feat for Adrian Klemm. The 6-foot-3, 314-pound guard was the top player in the state - which generally means he's a lock for OU. Plus, both of Wariboko's parents actually graduated from Oklahoma. And, as if that weren't enough for UCLA to overcome, he was even an early pledge to the Sooners to boot.
But Klemm's constant recruiting efforts, plus the monster class UCLA is hauling in on Signing Day, pushed the Bruins over the edge.
"There's always an element of momentum in this recruiting thing," Wariboko said. "And landing a few other elite guys made it that much easier for me and my family."
Now that he's a firm commitment, Wariboko was asked what his plans were for his true freshman season at UCLA, and the big OL was blunt.
"I'm just ready to get to work and get on campus," he said.
