A week and a half after losing out-of-state running back commitment AJ Carter to LSU, the Bruins picked up another out-of-state running back commitment to replace the Louisiana prospect.
On Wednesday, Hialeah Gardens (Fla.) Mater Academy running back Lentivone Lesane announced his pledge to UCLA on Twitter.
Lesane, a two-star back, held offers from Illinois, Syracuse and Utah, in addition to UCLA. He's a 6-foot-2, 195-pound running back who's a tall, long and upright runner. In April, he told Rivals.com he's a similar player to Soso Jamabo.
"They have a guy that’s like me in SoSo Jamabo so it shows that they like guys like me," he said of UCLA at the time. "They feel like I could be similar to him and have a big role.”
