A day after winning arguably its biggest game of the season so far, UCLA lost arguably its top commitment.

Not even 12 hours after the Bruins wrapped up beating No. 20 Cal at the Rose Bowl Thursday night, four-star defensive lineman Wole Betiku announced he is no longer a part of UCLA's 2016 class.
"At this time I have decided to open up my recruiting," Betiku wrote on his Twitter page. "It is in my best interest to take my time with the recruiting process and weigh my options carefully."
Concerns over the strength of Betiku's commitment have been growing since the beginning of the season, when he announced he would take all of his official visits despite being a Bruin pledge. The major hand-wringing, though, came to a head earlier this month when Betiku visited the rival USC Trojans for their game against Washington.
"It's a lifetime decision and I pray God guides me to make the best decision," Betiku wrote on his Twitter page. "I'd like to thank UCLA coaching staffs. God Bless."
Betiku, who has said repeatedly he'd prefer to be an edge rusher in a 4-3 system in college, has already officially visited Florida State and Texas A&M. He's lined up November visits to Notre Dame and Florida as well. The local schools, UCLA and USC, still likely cannot be counted out for the four-star's signature in February.
