UCLA signee to play in All-Star Game

Nationwide Sports presents the 7th annual Gridiron All-Star game this Saturday June 10th at Long Beach City College (Veterans Stadium). The Kickoff is at 3:30 pm. This game will feature two teams the East and the West All-Stars.
The East and West teams are separated by the 110 freeway.

The East All-Stars will be led by Compton, Calif., and the Los Angeles (Calif.) Verbum Dei High School coaching staffs while the West All-Stars are also loaded with talent and will be led by the 2005 City Champion Crenshaw High School and Inglewood High School coaching staffs.
Both teams are loaded with talent and will feature athletes who will be playing D-I football this fall. This could be your last time seeing these tremendous athlete's as preps stars before they move on to their collegian careers.
The East All-Stars will feature UCLA commit Dominique Johnson from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Valley View.
Other D-I players who will be playing for the East are Oregon commit Marvin Johnson from Compton (Calif.) Dominquez, Stanford commit Richard Sherman also from Dominquez, Oregon State commit Howard Croom from Long Beach (Calif.) Wilson, USC commit Travon Patterson from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, and Boise State bound Derrell Acrey of East Redlands Valley.
Others looking to be a late signing or going JUCO before hitting the D-I ranks are Brad Sorensen from Colton, Calif., Kurious Alexander from Upland, Calif., Jerry Jackson from Los Angeles (Calif.) Jordan and his Jordan teammate Carell Johnson.
The West All-Stars will feature USC commit Stafon Johnson from Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey, Cal commit R.J. Garrett from Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw, San Jose State pledge Adonis Davis also from Crenshaw, UNLV commit Tyquan Knox Crenshaw, Cal commit Darian Hagan Crenshaw, UNLV commit Tim High from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne.
Standout players who will try to make a name for themselves are Monte Taylor Los Angeles (Calif.) Washington, Marcus Hardaway from Gardena (Calif.) Serra and Cleveland Jones also from Dorsey.
