UCLA players itching to get fall football camp underway
UCLA right tackle Garrett DiGiorgio and his football teammates are taking first-year head coach DeShaun Foster’s “do more” mantra to heart this offseason.
“We do extra work almost every day,” DiGiorgio said Tuesday at an NIL event dedicated to the release of the new “College Football 25” video game.
Since ending spring camp in early May, the players have been under the direction of the strength and conditioning staff in offseason workouts. Then, there’s the extra, voluntary on-field work that is player-led until fall camp officially gets underway in August.
DiGiorgio said there isn’t necessarily one player in the offensive line unit assuming the primary leadership role, but as two of the more veteran presences both he and center Josh Carlin have stepped up within the group.
