UCLA had its full rotation of quarterbacks available for individual drills when the team returned to the practice field Monday.
Redshirt junior Ethan Garbers, who threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns in the 23rd-ranked Bruins’ 42-7 win at Stanford, was joined by freshman Dante Moore and Kent State transfer Collin Schlee.
Moore was cleared to practice “full-go” Monday and Schlee was “available,” Kelly said. It remains unclear how much Schlee did beyond the 15-minute media viewing period at the start of practice after not practicing the previous week due to an injury suffered at Oregon State.
Moore saw limited action against Stanford, but Kelly maintained that the decision to have him come off the bench after starting the previous five games had more to do with the hits he’s taken over performance.
Moore has thrown six interceptions, including three consecutive games with one returned for a touchdown, since Pac-12 play opened.
“Those three games that we played in a row can take a toll on you physically playing Utah, playing Oregon State, playing Washington State,” Kelly said.
